Lifting weights this way is just a waste of time.

Lifting light weights, in isolation exercises as shows in the picture, is just a waste of time. You are not making yourself stronger. Neither are you burning any significant amount of fat.

The fact is no matter how many hundreds or thousands of reps you do with a light resistance, if you have a covering of fat, you won’t see any muscle “tone” to save your life.

You need higher resistance to build the muscle and burn the covering of fat to reveal the muscles.

And you won’t look like Arnold either. If it were so easy, every guy who goes to the gym would look like him.

She can lift more than men but she is not bulky.

I have been a personal trainer since 2003. I graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore. I have extensive background in highly technical sports and activities like artistic gymnastics, martial arts and kettlebell lifting.
